Installation of expansion joint cover device
For the installation of expansion joint cover device, the notch is first processed to meet the installation requirements, and then according to the design requirements, the fire barrier, waterstop installation, expansion joint cover fitting position lofting, aluminum alloy base frame installation, and sliding are carried out in sequence. Pole installation, panel installation, gap treatment.
1. Reserved slots
According to the selected expansion joint cover device model, the specifications reserve the corresponding size installation notch, and ensure the straightness of the notch.
The correct notch is a prerequisite to ensure the installation effect and efficiency. The notch that does not meet the requirements needs to be processed, such as cutting off the excess part; repairing the missing part, and implanting the metal skeleton to strengthen the part that is too deep and wide.
2. Install the product
According to the selected model, take the center of the seam as the base point, and stake out to both sides according to the design of the drawing to determine the installation position of the expansion joint cover.
Fix the aluminum alloy frame to the notch with expansion bolts according to the determined installation position. The distance between the expansion bolts should be in accordance with the design requirements. If it is necessary to install fire protection belts and water stop belts, install the fire protection belts and water stop belts according to the design requirements before installing the aluminum alloy frame.
Lay the control rods of the central axis according to the designed spacing, cover the central cover, and fix the cover and the control rods of the central axis with bolts.
For some models that require rubber strips, insert the SANTOPRENE rubber moldings into the installation grooves of the center cover and the frame at the end.
3. Treatment of the details
When installing the waterstop, it is necessary to coat the waterproof base layer glue between the frame, the waterstop and the concrete body respectively.
The joint of the two central cover plates of the roof expansion joint cover shall be covered and fixed with a thin metal plate coated with adhesive. If the two ends of the joint are stored in the gap, a wind and rain baffle shall be installed. Note: Good detail processing is the key to ensuring the waterproof effect.
